Every day the Eucharist and the divine office is celebrated in different languages. Today, the Holy Mass was officiated by Fr. João Holanda, who works in Amazon area. He recalled that the synod on the Amazon would soon be conducted in Rome. On the altar there were objects of the Amazon and especially a "rede" that is a hammock, where one can use to sleep well in the very hot Amazon, to swing and find some fresh air; and also because a mattress immediately soaks in sweat. There were also an "cocar" is a headdress or adheme of Xingu pens and more. We pray for the peoples of the Amazon, who belong to nine countries, not just Brazil as you sometimes think.
The rest of the day, after a brief meeting on methodology in the classroom, each group had to do a workshop. There are 4 groups and are made up of 7-8 people with lay collaborators, led by a coordinator appointed by the president of the chapter and with an elected secretary in the group. Today's group work is focus on the re-reading and discussion on the report of the Preposito, the Instrumentum laboris and the documents of the Church Magisterium. In the evening, the four coordinators will meet to summarise the results of the meeting to create a synthesis.
